Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Duke University and Codon Devices Inc. filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Blue Heron Biotechnology Inc. on March 14, 2007 in the Federal District Court for the District of Delaware.

Schlage Lock Co. settles patent dispute with Todson
Schlage Lock Co., owner of the Kryptonite brand of locks, filed a suit against Todson, distributor of the OnGuard brand of locks involving a lock mounting bracket.
 
 
 
INDIAN PATENT GRANTS IN THE MONTH OF MARCH 2008 OSS SERIES, Educational Community License Version 1.0
The Indian Patent Office granted 2114 patents in March, 2008. The top three consisted of CSIR, which had a patent count of 182 patents, The Educational Community License is one of the special purpose licenses approved by the Open Source Initiative. The license is used by certain educational institutions while distributing software.
