On 15th June, 2007, Brain League organized a seminar titled “Intellectual Property in Information Technology” at Le Meridian, Bangalore. Participants at the seminar included professionals from companies like Captronic Systems, Sandisk, Wipro Technologies, Jataayu and so on. Besides issues in patent protection for software, the other topics related to trade secrets and copyrights in relation to information technology. The prime concern of IT companies today, open source software and the licenses that govern them were also discussed. The seminar was rated at 8 on a scale of 10. Participants felt the seminar to be very useful for the IT industry.
