The Indian Patent Office granted 828 patents in the month of
May 2007.
The table below shows the top twelve companies that received
patent grants. HLL tops the list with 42 patents, followed by
Ericsson and Honda Giken with 15 and 14 patents respectively.

On 15th June, 2007, Brain
League organized a seminar titled “Intellectual Property in
Information Technology” at Le Meridian, Bangalore.
Participants at the seminar included professionals from
companies like Captronic Systems, Sandisk, Wipro Technologies,
Jataayu and so on. Besides issues in patent protection for
software, the other topics related to trade secrets and
