A method for using advanced mobile technologies

Mobile service providers are offering advanced mobile technologies such as third generation technology (3G), Wi-Fi, WiMAX, Unlicensed Mobile Access (UMA), Fixed-Mobile Convergence (FMC) and Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) among others. These advanced technologies enable users to make cheaper calls through VOIP and provide advanced features such as video calling, IP Multimedia Subsystem based services and Mobile TV among others. However, to utilize such services, users should have mobile devices which support such technologies. Most users of low-end mobile devices, if not all, may be reluctant to change their mobile devices, even though they are eager to use such services. The present invention provides a method and system that facilitates utilization of such services without users having to buy a high-end mobile device.
